Dear Younger Me | A Note From God From 2014

My Darling Daughter Amy: You are my princess and I am your King.

“But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Then the angel said, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you … for nothing will be impossible for God.”

“Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.

Look at these words, Little One. This is the beginning of one woman’s story, the story that I intended just for her. Do you know that I have a story just for you, too? And unbeknownst to you, it has already begun long ago.

There has been quite a distinct reason that you have been so enamored by the power of storytelling for so long a time. It’s because yours is going to be great, maybe even told long after you’ve come Home to me!

I want you to know that I have great plans for you. You are a little pencil in My hand, and I have graced you with the courage and confidence to inspire others, along with many opportunities to actually do so. Remember, that is an important part of your plan … It’s great to imagine what will be, but I want you to actually BE it! Do not be afraid, for I know how the various chapters of your life will turn out, and what’s even better is that I am your own personal editor who, if you be sure to work with me diligently, will be sure that everything will be worded just perfectly.

I am ready, my dear girl, ready to see you run and fully knowledgeable that you have everything within you to fly a little higher. And I will always be with you, every step of the way.

So whatever happens, let’s begin!

I’m Amy

After learning about a saint who played tennis and hung out with her friends at coffee shops, I realized you don’t have to be a martyr or a nun to get to Heaven! Through this blog, I share that awesome truth. When I’m not writing, you can find me coding, frequenting Adoration, ice skating, or finding another corgi on Instagram to obsess over.
