I’ve never met Zach Sobiech, but I can confidently say that God sent him to me on the day I needed him the most … a day where my depression over the loss of my dad tried to set in earlier than it inevitably did.

Through his song, “Clouds”, and the legacy he left behind, one where he lived life to the fullest and didn’t let bone cancer stop him from going for his dreams, he taught me that “you don’t have to find out you’re dying to start living.”

There are many ways you can be introduced to the incredible guy that Zach is: through a Google search, the movie Clouds, or diving into A Firm Handshake’s discography on Spotify. But for Childhood Cancer Awareness month, I thought I’d introduce you to my favorite unofficial saint through a nine-day prayer challenge inspired by the structure of a novena.
