This morning, I arrived early for daily Mass and felt drawn to flip through my Bible. Three passages caught my heart — little reminders from the Lord of His love and His promises.
Daniel 12:3 — Shining Like the Stars
“But those with insight shall shine brightly like the splendor of the firmament. And those who lead the many to justice shall be like the stars forever.”
This verse reminds us that wisdom and justice radiate like starlight. When we guide others in truth, our lives become a light for eternity.
Ephesians 1:3–6 — Chosen Before the Foundation of the World
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing…”
St. Paul reminds us that God destined us for adoption as His beloved children. Before the world began, He chose us to be holy and blameless — a powerful reminder of our true identity in Christ.
Philippians 1:3–11 — Gratitude and Growth in Love
“I give thanks to my God at every remembrance of you, praying always with joy…”
Paul’s words are overflowing with gratitude and love. His prayer that our love may “increase ever more and more in knowledge” is a reminder that holiness is a lifelong journey of growth, discernment, and union with Christ.
A Prayer of Reflection
Lord, thank You for the gift of Scripture that speaks directly to our hearts. May these words remind me to shine with Your light, rejoice in being chosen, and grow daily in love and discernment.
